After our archaeological trip in Chichén Itzá, our bus headed to this one-of-a-kind underground water sink hole, whereas Marcos (our tour guide from Ekinox Tours) said…we would be back to our bus like 10-years younger after jumping into the water. 😆
Cenote (pronounced as se/no’/te) – means water sink hole, or an underground water.
Wow! This place is so divine and magical, right?!
But before we headed there, we decided to have our free lunch first. Buffet style and all the dishes were so deli to a point that our plates were full. 😋
Burp! Yum yum! Ready to jump into the Cenote.
How about trying to jump from that highest platform inside (well, second to the highest)? 😱😱😱
And hey! I did it twice! LOL!
Just so you know, water is 130 feet deep and 85 feet deep from the surface.
-Marcos gave us an option to choose either to take our free lunch first then swim, or vice-versa. Feel free to do whichever will work for you, as long as you will be back on time (given by your tour guide before you leave the bus) to your same seat on the bus.
-Heading to swim right away before taking your free lunch? The place has lockers for your stuff and life vest for those who dont know how to swim (like me 🙌🏼).
Life Vest: $40 Pesos (2 USD)
Locker: $30 Pesos (1.80 USD)
-No need for GoPro/Adventure Cam payment here.
After this, we headed to this little town called Valladolid, where we saw this old church of Catedral de San Servacio.
We had 20 minutes to walk around and take pictures before heading back to our hotels.
Woooh! That’s our trip in 1 day. Starting from Chichén Itzá Tour, jumping into Cenote, to seeing this beautiful little town of Valladolid.
It is really nice to explore things and places that are until now, unexplained by anyone. And the best thing here is, I’m doing this with my man of my life.
Show us your Cenote Ik Kil photos! 😀

On our 2nd day?! Challenging ourselves to do some activities in Cancun…Zip-lining? Paddling? ATV-ing?
Yeah! Let’s do this!
